Mount Ida, Montgomery County – The single story at TBD Yeaman Lane has been sold.
Yeaman Lane is Sold! The property located off Yeaman Lane has been sold. The buyers are super excited to build when they retire and the seller is very happy to have some wonderful new neighbors. In this particular transaction, the seller owned a larger parcel but only wanted to keep a portion of his land. Sometimes, as we age, it is harder to maintain a large property. So, he just decided to list the property and sell approximately one acre. The seller then marked off an approximate boundary that he wanted sold and we advertised it to be surveyed. The buyer agreed to have the survey done and Evan Black did the survey. In real estate transactions, your surveyor can be your best friend! Evan does work in the courthouse getting legal descriptions for the adjoining properties and the one he is working on. Then with the latest technology, he goes out to the property and runs the new lines. Sometimes, there is already a fence or another line to run off of but not always. A surveyor will start at a point of beginning, which is typically a set corner from a section that was done by the government. From there, he starts his measuring. They will survey out an amount of land to sell or they will survey what is owned by the person.
The price of a survey varies depending on the size of the parcel, the terrain, density of the forest, or the availability of information. For each survey you should get an estimate before you have them start the process. This particular survey was not pricey due to the amount of land and the terrain being flat. If you need a surveyor, remember that you need one that is licensed by the state.
